Which notary is competent for me?
Anyone can freely choose the notary who is to act for him/her. However, the notary may only carry out official acts in his/her administrative district. If legal transactions unleash effects outside of the notary's administrative district, this does not prevent him/her from certifying them. For example, it is irrelevant where a property is located with a land purchase agreement.
